STILLWATER – Pistol Pete's arm draped around his neck, Nick Lozanovski leaned in, smiled and posed for a selfie, one of many snapshot moments in a dream weekend.
Lozanovski, finally, had come home to Stillwater.
For the first time.
“The whole experience was incredible,” he said.
Lozanovski's story was already a good one. The 19-year-old college student from Orchard Park, N.Y., near Buffalo, adopted the Cowboys as his team from afar after watching the basketball team's 2004 run to the Final Four. The long-distance relationship grew as he grew, and when the football team opened this season at Central Michigan, Lozanovski decided he'd drive six hours through Canada to catch the Cowboys live, figuring they may never get closer.
