STILLWATER — Mike Gundy turned 10 last winter; 10 years as Oklahoma State's head football coach, his dream job.
And, yes, it's still his “New York Yankees” job, as Gundy proclaimed on Jan. 3, 2005, when he was named as the school's 22nd coach.
“I'm a lucky guy to be here,” he said recently.
It may not have seemed so last December, before “The Play That Changed It All,” when a cloud hovered overhead amid a five-game losing streak and Gundy's mood darkened by an off-the-rails season and an ongoing feud with the program's biggest booster.
