STILLWATER — Oklahoma State's last meeting with Texas marked the low point of the Cowboys' 2014 season.
The 28-7 defeat was OSU's fifth-straight loss. The offense managed just nine first downs and averaged 1.5 yards per rush. The defense allowed 171 yards rushing and an average of 12.7 yards per pass completion. And OSU starting quarterback Daxx Garman suffered what would become a season-ending concussion.
"I can't really speak for the defense," safety Tre Flowers said, "but that's one game that stuck with me."
OSU fans know what happened next. Mason Rudolph's redshirt burn, Tyreek Hill's Bedlam punt return and a Cactus Bowl victory against Washington sparked a 180-degree turnaround for the program.
