Lindy Waters carried Oklahoma State down the stretch, but it wasn’t enough in the Cowboys overtime loss to Texas Tech on Wednesday.
Texas Tech defeated Oklahoma State 84-80 after a valiant effort from a scrappy OSU team. Waters led the Cowboys in scoring with 26 points on 9-19 shooting and 7-11 from three.
Cam McGriff missed a three point attempt with :21 seconds left and Texas Tech up 80-78. It was an ill-advised shot from McGriff, who finished with 8 points on 2-11 shooting.
Walk-on Dee Mitchell would get fouled on his three point attempt on the next possession, but would only sink two of his three free throws, sealing the Cowboys fate.
