Cowboys coach Travis Ford insisted Jawun Evans' next chance at late-game free throws would go better.
And so it was Saturday night, better for Evans and better for Oklahoma State, which ended a two-game losing streak with a 62-60 win over Minnesota in a game played at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, S.D.
Evans, who missed two foul shots at the 18-second mark last Saturday with OSU up 63-62 in an eventual 64-63 loss to Missouri State, made two free throws with 13.7 remaining against the Golden Gophers.
After Evans' makes made it 61-56, the Cowboys were able to finish, something they hadn't done in back-to-back home losses.
