Oklahoma State basketball: Inside Brad Underwood's 'selfless' philosophy

STILLWATER — Brad Underwood declined to promise wins yet offered positive assurances just the same.

“We're going to guard, we're going to rebound and we're going to make life tough as hell for everyone we play,” the new Oklahoma State coach said this week.

That's Underwood's style. That and a sharing offense built on ball movement and extra passes. And it's a proven successful style, with stats, and wins, to back it up.

His Stephen F. Austin teams won went 89-14 in his three seasons. They defended. They rebounded, despite a lack of size. And they shared the ball and scoring.
