The game started back and forth with both teams in the first half UCF walking into halftime with a four point lead at 35-31. Performances like Javon Small’s 8 first half points kept the Pokes close.
That was as long as the game stayed competitive though, as the Golden Knights would open the second half on a 13 to nothing run, expanding their lead to 18 before the Pokes would score. It would get worse instead of better as the lead would balloon to 24.
Head coach Mike Boyton said what’s next for the program was not first on his mind.
