The Eddie Sutton documentary is going to its screen of dreams: ESPN.
Christopher Hunt, the director of “EDDIE: The Costs of Greatness,” announced a deal with ESPN that will guarantee multiple airings on ESPN and ESPN2 in July, August and September.
“Been a pretty emotional ride, because obviously we want to share the movie with everyone so, so bad,” said Hunt, who grew up in Midwest City and was a Cowboy hoops fan from the Desmond Mason/Doug Gottlieb days. “Just a huge weight off my shoulders to be able to announce it today.”
The movie deals with Sutton’s phenomenal career coaching basketball at OSU, Kentucky and Arkansas, among other schools, and the controversies that plagued his career, from NCAA probation to alcoholism.
