News broke last week about the addition of Bill Grier to Travis Ford’s basketball staff at OSU.
Yet with paperwork still to be completed, an announcement from the school was delayed until Monday.
Now it’s official, Grier, the former head coach at San Diego University, is joining the Cowboys, who had an opening after Steve Ferguson left to join Mark Price at Charlotte.
Grier went 117-144 in eight seasons at San Diego. Previously, he worked as an assistant from 1992-2007 at Gonzaga.
From Ford: “I’ve gotten to know Bill through our Nike family retreats over the years, and I couldn’t be more excited to have someone with such an impressive reputation and coaching resume joining the Cowboy family.
