Oklahoma State baseball notebook: For Trey Cobb, Donnie Walton, it's home sweet home

The Big 12 Baseball Tournament’s move to Tulsa offered a hometown advantage for some of the Cowboys.

Two of them came through big Wednesday night.

Trey Cobb pitched five perfect innings in relief, and Donnie Walton drove in two runs with a single and a home run, leading Oklahoma State past West Virginia 3-0.

Cobb, a Broken Arrow product, never allowed the Mountaineers to pose a threat.

Walton, who played at Bishop Kelley High School, started and ended OSU’s scoring.

“It’s really cool pitching in Tulsa, where I grew up, and went to games as a kid,” Cobb said.
