STILLWATER – The Cowboys needed a lift Monday, still carrying the hangover of a scuffling Sunday offense through what was left of a suspended game against Baylor, ending in a Game 2 loss and 24-hours plus without a run.
Gage Green provided just the Game 3 jolt necessary.
The Oklahoma State leadoff man mashed the second pitch he saw in the first inning, driving it for a home run and some early juice for the No. 10-ranked Cowboys. By the time the day was over, OSU clubbed three home runs among 14 hits in a 7-1 romp at Reynolds Stadium that delivered a series win and returned the Cowboys to a first-place tie with Oklahoma atop the Big 12 standings.
