Oklahoma State wrestling received a commitment from 152-pound Ohio State Champion Gavin Stika last week. The Creston, Ohio product out of Norwayne High School was a four=time state qualifier, a three-time state placer and a one-time champ. He was a two-sport athlete who also lettered in soccer three times.
I reached out to him and briefly discussed his thoughts on being a Cowboy. He stated he was looking forward to the “opportunity to wrestle for an amazing team, with an amazing staff.” According to Stika, he “projects he’ll wrestle at 165” in college and he “can’t wait to wrestle in for the best fans in the country”.
