Cameron McGriff stepped to the free-throw line in his home gym, but the crowd was anything but silent.
With 5:50 left in the first half of Oklahoma State’s 79-71 victory against Texas Tech on Wednesday, the student sections in Gallagher-Iba Arena erupted after a text message went out to students to announce class is canceled Thursday.
“I’ve been a college student, and I an appreciate them being excited about not having to go to class tomorrow,” OSU coach Mike Boynton said. “I was a little frustrated that all of that noise was being made while Cam was trying to shoot a free throw because we like him being able to focus on shooting a free throw and not having the distraction from our crowd.
