Last time OSU found itself in Hilton Coliseum, the Cowboys were riding high.
A five-game winning streak climaxed with a 64-56 victory over the Cyclones, putting OSU’s 2022-23 team in a prime position to make a run into March, which, at the time, was just more than four weeks away.
No March run happened, though. The winning streak’s apex became the height of the Cowboys’ season. Now, sitting at 8-7 (and 0-2 in conference), OSU is trying to avoid starting 0-3 in Big 12 play for the first time since the 2016-17 season.
A loss in Lubbock to Texas Tech is disheartening enough, but coach Mike Boynton put quite the label on his team’s defensive performance in its 90-73 loss on Tuesday.
