Oklahoma State defensive coordinator Glenn Spencer often focuses on the negatives to keep his players from getting complacent.
Spencer rarely takes time to look at the good things coming from the defense and is constantly looking for ways to improve the best defense in the Big 12. This mentality has become contagious in the Cowboy locker room as Spencer rubs off on his players.
“I’m really more of a guy who’s looking for the negative more than the positive,” cornerback Ashton Lampkin said. “The positive’s gonna come when you’re working the negatives. I’d rather look at the negatives more than the positives.
