On a disappointing day for Oklahoma State wrestling, Dean Heil was one of the only bright spots.
Each team won back-to-back matches after the Cowboys and Wolfpack traded victories for the first three. After Oklahoma State picked up its third and fourth wins of the day, NC State came back and took the final three matches of the dual, winning 19-15.
Heil validates No. 1 ranking
Coming into the dual, the most intriguing matchup was in the 141-pound class. OSU’s top-ranked Dean Heil went up against No. 2 Kevin Jack. Heil and Jack traded scores throughout all three periods, but Heil was the one who ended up on top, winning 10-8 behind four third-period points.
