Oklahoma State football coach Mike Gundy believes athletes should be competitive year-round in high school. He said Tuesday during OSU’s National Signing Day press conference he thinks if a recruit is talented enough, they will make it to the level they want in their respective sport, even if they also focus on other sports during their high school career.
“I think high school kids ought a play as many sports as they want to play,” Gundy said. “I think that we’re getting overwhelmed with travel baseball in the summer through young kids, travel softball, travel volleyball, AAU basketball, 7-on-7 for football.
