The Oklahoma State baseball team placed five different pitchers on the mound in its 9-7 loss to Eastern Michigan Saturday.
OSU uncharacteristically gave up an abundance of hits, as ECU batters swung their way onto base 15 times over the course of the game.
OSU pitching coach Rob Walton held the pitching staff for a couple extra minutes to talk to them at the conclusion of the game after the usual entire-team huddle dispersed.
Junior right-hander Joe Lienhard, who got the start Saturday and gave up nine of the 15 hits OSU allowed, said Walton told them their performance wasn’t going to cut it.
