AUSTIN, Texas – Finding a silver lining in a series loss can be difficult.
Still, Oklahoma State coach Josh Holliday finds a way. And that was no different after Oklahoma State’s 7-2 series-finale win over Texas at UFCU Disch-Faulk Field on Sunday afternoon.
The Cowboys (32-16, 15-9 Big 12) needed Sunday’s win for a bevy of reasons, specifically avoiding a series sweep and keeping themselves within the bulk of the Big 12 title race. Not to mention, a sweep would have set OSU on a three-game losing streak.
Baseball is a game filled with anomalies. Weird things happen.
