A combination of newcomers and veterans pitched for the Oklahoma State baseball team, but no one could shut down Missouri State’s active offense.
The Bears squeezed out an 11-10 victory against the Cowboys on Tuesday night in Allie P. Reynolds Stadium. OSU (8-5) used six pitchers, and MSU had at least one run against each of them.
C.J. Varela, a senior right-handed pitcher who was the first out of the bullpen, said pitching coach Rob Walton’s postgame message revolved around the Cowboys’ mentalities on the mound.

“We just need to work on getting mentally more tough, not let our minds race so that way we don’t give up as many two-strike hits,” Varela said.
