Cowboy wrestling fans can be at ease to start the weekend.
The Oklahoma State David Taylor Era got off to a dominant start Friday night. The No. 3 Cowboys cruised to a 38-6 win in their season opener on the road against Utah Valley at the UCCU Center in Orem, Utah.
OSU (1-0, 1-0 Big 12) clinched eight of 10 bouts on the night, logging six wins in bonus-point fashion — four via tech fall and two through pins. UVU's (1-3, 0-1 Big 12) lone wins came at 141 against Cowboys’ backup Kolter Burton and at 165 as sixth-ranked Terrell Barraclough downed fifth-ranked Cam Amine, 5-4 in rideouts.
