The Oklahoma State Cowgirl soccer team is getting a stunning new stadium because of a donation from booster Neal Patterson who is the CEO of a company called Cerner Corporation and makes a lot of money. He is also part of a group that owns the Sporting Kansas City MLS team.
Patterson’s name will go on the new facility. Construction on the 3,500-seat stadium has already begun and is slated to be completely finished for the 2018 season.
“When you provide an education to someone with intelligence, work ethic, determination and big dreams, you occasionally create a force that changes the world,” said athletic director Mike Holder in a statement.
