The last time Roshunda Johnson played in the NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament's Sweet 16, it was 2014 and she was an Oklahoma State freshman point guard.
Now three years later, Johnson is back, and this time as a redshirt junior for Mississippi State at the Oklahoma City regional inside Chesapeake Energy Arena — just about 70 miles south of her former college home in Stillwater. It's Johnson's first return trip to the state since transferring from OSU after the 2014-15 season.
“It's exciting to come back,” Johnson said.
After sitting out last year per NCAA transfer rules, Johnson has played a key role for the Bulldogs this season.
