TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Sydney Sherrill always dreamed of playing at Florida State.
“I’ve loved Florida State since I was a freshman,” the Southmoore High School product said Friday following the Seminoles' 4-1 win over Oklahoma State in Game 2 of an NCAA super regional at JoAnne Graf Field.
Sherrill originally committed to Arkansas before her freshman year at Southmoore but quickly changed her mind when the Seminoles came calling.
“She’s a ball player and loves playing ball,” Florida State coach Lonni Alameda said. “I can tell you she’s a better teammate and a more fun person than the way she plays softball.
