When Hueston Morrill, second baseman for the Oklahoma State baseball team, stepped up to the plate with the game-winning run at second, tensions were at an all-time high.
The Cowboys were down to their last out, down one run.
They previously lost their lead after giving up two runs in the eighth inning.
Morrill, only a freshman, has made a name for himself on coach Josh Holliday’s roster.
Morrill's game-decisions helped the Cowboys defeat the Hawkeyes 5-4 on Friday at Allie P. Reynolds Stadium.
After getting his first appearance against Texas-Rio Grande Valley, Morrill quickly inserted himself as the Cowboys’ (6-2) leadoff hitter.
