One of my friends has a saying when sees me, or anyone, getting stressed over life. He’s a guy who is the pastor at a new church we’re helping plant here in Dallas, and his saying goes like this: “Bro, keep the first things the first things.”
Translation: We all have a million decisions to make every day, but only a small percentage of those decisions are truly important, and an even smaller percentage are vital. Most of our smaller, more menial decisions flow from those most important ones.
And somehow that little note about church plants and decision-making is a segue for a Mike Boynton Q&A that was published today in The Athletic.
