After a first season at Oklahoma State that exceeded the expectations of perhaps everyone but himself, OSU basketball coach Mike Boynton has a new deal with the university.
Boynton has agreed to a six-year contract with the Cowboys through the 2023-24 season, according to a university release. His salary will be $1.6 million in 2018-19 and rise $125,000 each subsequent year. The contract is a two-year extension to his original five-year, $6 million contract.
"I want to first thank coach (Mike) Holder, President Burns Hargis and the OSU Board of Regents,” Boynton said in the statement. “One year ago they provided me with the opportunity of a lifetime.
