Mike Gundy went back to his old stopping grounds to snag the Cowboys’ most recent pledge.
Makale Smith announced his commitment to Oklahoma State on Sunday. Out of Midwest City, Smith is a 6-foot, 165-pound athlete. OSU was just his second Division-I offer, coming back in April. Smith is an under-the-radar guy, as he announced a Central Oklahoma offer the same day as his OSU one.
Since that OSU offer, Smith has received offers from Oregon State and New Mexico, but the Cowboys were able to lock him down before the secret got out.
Smith is listed as an athlete, as he played wide receiver, corner and returned kicks for the Bombers as a junior last season.
