McGriff's early foul trouble allows Tulsa to thrive in paint

TULSA -- The Oklahoma State men's basketball team played almost the entire first half of Wednesday night's loss without its most dominant interior threat.

Cameron McGriff picked up two quick fouls in the first few minutes of the Cowboys' 74-71 loss to the Golden Hurricane in Tulsa, forcing OSU coach Mike Boynton to sit him for all but the first four minutes of the first half.

"It certainly had an impact," Boynton said. "There's no doubt he's our most experienced interior guy. He gives us some toughness and obviously a lot of experience in these types of environments.
