Devin Lawrence WilberCameron McGriff turned right, secured the ball in his hands and soared up to the left side of the hoop, where he threw down a rim-shaking dunk.
The shot didn’t mark a turning point in an Oklahoma State men’s basketball game or leave a crowd awestruck. McGriff made the slam dunk on a July evening in the practice gym at Gallagher-Iba Arena. The Cowboys were preparing for their European tour. Although a few media members and spectators stood along the edges of the court, no electric ambience of a rowdy student section surrounded him.
