The Oklahoma State women’s tennis team was looking for retribution against the team that knocked it out of the NCAA tournament last year.
Senior Megan McCray’s third-set performance helped the Cowgirls get its retribution defeating Florida 4-3 at Michael and Anne Greenwood Tennis Center on Wednesday.
McCray herself was looking to overcome a loss as well. Against Arkansas, she lost her first match in the duel season after an impressive 4-0 start.
After a fast start where McCray led the first set 2-1, No. 50 Josie Kuhlman stole the first set, 7-5. McCray brushed away the tough first set, easily winning the second set, 6-2.
