The race to be Maryland's starting quarterback this fall received another entrant Thursday when the school announced Daxx Garman will use his last year of eligibility in College Park.
Garman started nine games for Oklahoma State last season, including eight starts. He threw for 2,041 yards and 12 touchdowns but was sidelined by a concussion late in the season.
Because he finished his undergraduate studies at OSU, he is eligible immediately to join a quarterback derby also expected to include Caleb Rowe, Shane Cockerille and Perry Hills.
