A little over a week ago RealGM’s Kevin Smith announced that the Rockets had withdrawn their qualifying offer to Markel Brown.
The Houston Rockets have withdrawn the Qualifying Offer for Markel Brown. Brown is now an unrestricted free agent.
The offer from the Rockets would’ve put Brown on his second two-way contract, meaning he would spend time with the Rockets and with their G-League affiliate, the Rio Grande Valley Vipers.
When I saw Smith’s tweet, I was expecting the former Cowboy guard to quickly get picked up by another NBA team, probably on a two-way deal.
