Marcus Smart has joined the ever-growing list of NBA players who have tested positive for the coronavirus amid the global pandemic, announcing on Thursday that his test five days ago came back tonight with a positive reading.
Smart says he’s been in self-quarantine in the days since his test and generally seemed in good spirits despite the diagnosis, but he urged everyone to practice social distancing and to take other necessary health precautions to avoid spreading the disease.
“I’m OK, I feel fine,” he said. “I can’t stress enough practicing social distancing and really keeping away from a large group of people.
