It occasionally slips the mind of Oklahoma State coach Mike Gundy just what a reliable player Marcell Ateman was in 2015.
The 6-foot-4, 220-pound receiver and fifth-year senior redshirted last year with a foot injury.
But a year earlier, Ateman had 766 receiving yards and five touchdowns for the Cowboys, looking to be set up for an even bigger 2016 season.
As the tallest player in a deep group of receivers, Ateman could establish himself as a particularly strong target in goal-line situations, where he and quarterback Mason Rudolph had begun to form a bond two seasons ago.
