Manvel Linebacker Brian Johnson Names OSU in Top 6

Oklahoma State is among a trio of Big 12 schools who have made what appears to be the final cut for Manvel, Texas outside linebacker Brian Johnson. Also in the mix is Louisville, Baylor, Indiana, Missouri and Iowa State.

Johnson is rated as a three-star prospect and, according to 247Sports‘ Damon Sayles, he’ll play safety in his upcoming senior season but he can play both nickelback and outside linebacker—similar to what early enrollee Brendan Vaughn did for Forney High School last year. He’s a versatile defensive player who can do a little bit of everything for Manvel, a big time Texas high school program that has produced Division I talent like a factory over the years.
