The Los Angeles Lakers announced Monday they have waived former Oklahoma State standout Jeffrey Carroll along with fellow 2018 undrafted guard Joel Berry II, a star out of North Carolina.
Carroll appeared in just one preseason game for the Lakers after originally agreeing to an Exhibit 10 deal after the draft.
The two roster moves come in advance of next week’s regular season opener for L.A. Both Berry and Carroll will become unrestricted free agents, so long as they go unclaimed on waivers.
Though the Lakers have requested waivers on Carroll, this doesn’t spell the end for him.
