A 3-year-old Jon Littell told his father he would play baseball professionally.
In 2018, as each round of the MLB Draft passed, Jon’s chances of living his childhood dream dwindled. The Littell family anxiously waited, seeing name after name that wasn’t Jon’s.
Then in the 37th round, the Los Angeles Dodgers selected Jon, a senior left fielder on the Oklahoma State baseball team.
“It was a dream come true,” said Jim Littell, Jon’s father and the OSU women’s basketball coach. “He’s worked for that all the way along. His work ethic and the way he is is second to none.
