Three veteran captains anchored the Oklahoma State men’s basketball team, but a freshman emerged as the top scorer.
Isaac Likekele stood behind the right corner of the arc and let go of the ball with a slight flourish of his hands.
It floated along a smooth path through the air and into the hoop, adding Likekele’s last points in the Cowboys’ 80-59 exhibition game victory against Ouachita Baptist on Sunday afternoon in Gallagher-Iba Arena.
Likekele, a guard from Mansfield, Texas, notched 18 points in his first outing as a Cowboy. He and fellow freshman Yor Anei joined junior captains Cameron McGriff, Lindy Waters and Thomas Dziagwa in the starting lineup.
