As he sat in the Oklahoma State baseball team’s locker room Tuesday dodging the cold, Joe Lienhard studied.
On a monitor, he watched teammate Blake Battenfield slice his way through New Mexico’s lineup, attacking the outside part of the plate. Wednesday, Lienhard echoed the performance and continued a dominant run by OSU pitchers, guiding the Cowboys to a 13-0 victory against the Lobos.
After Battenfield pitched seven one-hit innings against UNM (11-5), Lienhard followed by allowing one hit in his 6 1/3 inning and taking a no-hitter into the sixth.

“I just told myself, ‘If I can just do the same thing that Blake did and just build on it,’” Lienhard said.
