After the pandemic initially delayed his ceremony, Leslie O’Neal is officially in the College Football Hall of Fame.
A member of the 2020 class that was inducted alongside the 2021 class Tuesday night, O’Neal played at Oklahoma State from 1982 to 1985. A two-time All-American, O’Neal is OSU’s program leader in career sacks with 34. His 16 sacks in 1984 are also a program record.
“[Oklahoma State] gave me a chance to play,” O’Neal said. “There was a lot of other schools that I had looked at, but at 6-4, 199 pounds, playing defensive end, everyone wanted to redshirt me.
