Kendall Smith knew he had to be aggressive if the Oklahoma State men’s basketball team wanted a chance to win.
His shot at the end of regulation helped OSU get to overtime and beat Iowa State 96-87 on Saturday at Gallagher Iba Arena. With about 10 seconds left, Smith got the ball after ISU’s Donovan Jackson missed his second of two free-throw attempts and drove to the left corner before crossing over and hitting a floater.
After the Cowboys’ Bedlam loss on Wednesday, Smith stood in the empty stands of Lloyd Noble Center and had a discussion with his father about his play.
