The mad scientist is headed to a new laboratory.
Hours after Oklahoma State defensive coordinator Jim Knowles celebrated his nomination for the Broyles Award, given to the nation's top assistant coach, he has accepted a new job.
In a statement released Tuesday afternoon by Ohio State coach Ryan Day, Knowles will become the Buckeyes' latest defensive coordinator. He will start the new job on Jan. 2, likely meaning Knowles will be the Cowboys' defensive coordinator in the Fiesta Bowl on Jan. 1.
