Oklahoma State star pitcher Lexi Kilfoyl knew little about OSU’s opponent heading into Friday’s regional opener.
Though, matching up with a squad she’s unfamiliar with is a preference for Kilfoyl. The Big 12 Pitcher of the Year said Thursday that she feels she’s at her best against an unfamiliar opponent.
“Me personally, I do best when I know nothing about a team,” Kilfoyl said. “Kudos to Carrie (Eberle) and all the coaches, they do all the prep work that lets us go out and play our brand of ball.”
Northern Colorado was the opponent, which the Cowgirls downed 6-0 Friday night in their first game of the Stillwater Regional behind a five-inning, no-hit appearance from Kilfoyl.
