Kansas center Udoka Azubuike is one of the major inside presences in the Big 12.
The Jayhawks will be without Azubuike for the Big 12 Tournament, though, after the sophomore 7-footer suffered a sprained medial collateral ligament during Tuesday's practice, Kansas coach Bill Self announced.
“It is isolated. It is a Grade 1 sprain,” Self said. “We will hold him out this weekend in Kansas City, and he will be re-evaluated Sunday, and out expectation is that he'll be back on the court next week.”
