Edwards ran a 2:03.60, breaking the meets previous record which was 2:10.98.
This was both the start to both the Cowboy's and Cowgirl's spring seasons.
The Cowboys finished sixth, and the Cowgirls finished sixth.
Team efforts were not enough to earn either Oklahoma State team a victory, however, a few individuals shined.
For the Cowboys, Joshua Thompson placed first in the one mile, John Teeters placed first in the 60 meters, Vegard Oelstad placed third in the 3,000 meters and Jacob Fincham-Dukes placed third in the long jump. Chad Noelle, who is featured on the Bowerman watch list for the best track athlete in the nation, finished 12th in the 800 meters.
