Justin Gilbert Suspended Four Games by NFL for Substance Abuse

Former Oklahoma State cornerback Justin Gilbert has been suspended for four games after violating the league’s substance abuse policy.

Gilbert’s suspension is one more disappointment on what was initially a promising career. After being traded by the Cleveland Browns to the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2016, Gilbert was released in early 2017. The former No. 8 overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft had only one interception in 35 career games and was rarely used in his time at Pittsburgh.
