Sinclaire Johnson took the crown in the women’s 2000-meter Saturday at the Hurricane Invitational in Tulsa.
After taking the lead at the mile mark, she never looked back. Johnson, a sophomore on the Oklahoma State women’s cross-country team, finished first with a time of 11:03.
“Winning a race gives you a lot of confidence,” Johnson said. “It will definitely set the tone for the season.”
The OSU women finished second in the Hurricane Invitational, only two points behind Oklahoma. This is a jump from last year when the Cowgirls finished fourth at the 2017 Cowboy Preview.
