When the best receiver in America was sidelined in the Oklahoma State football team's biggest game of the year last season, Tyron Johnson seized the opportunity.
Johnson, a redshirt junior wide receiver, had caught only 12 balls for 150 yards and one touchdown last season before the Cowboys' Bedlam matchup with Oklahoma.
But when OSU's leading receiver, Biletnikoff Award-winner James Washington, was unable to return in the third quarter with an ankle injury, the Cowboy offense didn't miss a beat with Johnson replacing Washington as OSU's deep threat down the field.
Johnson finished with 118 yards on four catches and the two touchdowns in the Cowboys' narrow loss to the Sooners.
