Heritage Hall in Oklahoma City announced on Friday that former Cowboy wrestler Joe Smith will be taking over as the school’s new head wrestling coach.
Joe, the son of current Oklahoma State head coach John Smith, was a two-time All-American for the Cowboys in 2016 and 2017. He was most recently coaching at the Cowboy Wrestling Club and the Regional Training Center at OSU.
Rounding out Smith’s wrestling program staff at Heritage Hall will be returning assistant coach Dustin Sanders, and newly hired junior high coach Jordan McGuire. Sanders won three State Championships with Lawton Macarthur in the late 1990’s.
